Joint Use Audits
DRG provides comprehensive Joint Use Services. Beginning with a field inventory of poles that will include who’s attached, ownership status, double wood presence and potential NESC violations. The data collected is used to reconcile attachment records from previous years which allows for updated billing to third parties to occur. DRG also assists with contract negotiations, right of way access, and payment records, to help streamline workflows.
Joint Use Management Services
DRG’s team of designers and engineers work with utilities to define standards within the utility that third party attachers must comply to. DRG’s team become part of the utility working directly with the third parties to receive applications, perform the fielding, make ready and Pole loading to approve or reject applications submitted. DRG’s team becomes the joint use department of the utility.
NESC Audits
DRG’s team of professionals can administer National Electric Safety Code (NESC) audits to ensure that installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical poles and attachments are aligned with the most current regulations. We examine ground wires and clearances between attachments to collect reliable data about the compliance of your network.
