Davey Recognizes Longtime Kent Employees

Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company recently recognized two longtime Kent employees with more than 70 years of combined service to the Davey Company.

Davey President and Chief Operating Officer Pat Covey, left, and Davey Chairman and CEO Karl Warnke, right, recently recognized Steve Marshall, executive vice president and assistant to the president, for his 40 years of service to the Davey Company.

Marshall started his career in Davey’s Akron office in 1977 as a lawn care technician. Over the years he rose through the ranks to join the corporate office and become a key member of Davey’s executive management team—and a proud employee-owner. He is a resident of Hudson, Ohio.

Martha Kordinak was recently recognized for her 35 years of service to the Davey Company.

Kordinak started with Davey in 1982 as a secretary in the office services department. In 1987 she transferred to the treasury department and became assistant to the manager of budget and planning. In 1991 she was promoted to supervisor, treasury department.

Kordinak works in the corporate office and is a Kent resident. Chris Bast, treasurer, presented Kordinak with her service award.
