Posted: March 16, 2015

Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company has announced the promotion of Kevin Sharkey to regional manager, government/projects, northwest.

Sharkey started with Davey in 2010 as project manager for one of Davey’s air force base accounts. In 2012 he took over management of Davey’s contract with the United States Air Force Academy for military family housing. He relocated to Denver in 2013 to manage Davey’s governmental and commercial accounts.

Sharkey has twice won Davey’s Performance Excellence Award in Commercial Landscape Services. He is a graduate of the Davey Institute of Grounds Management, Davey’s annual training program that instructs landscape maintenance leaders on a variety of topics, including maintenance of bio-retention areas and rain gardens, grounds management efficiency, nuisance pests, and tree, turf grass and plant disease and pest identification and treatment.

“Kevin has been in the green industry since 1997 and has deep governmental project experience,” said Blane Pshigoda, division manager, Davey Commercial Landscape Services government/projects. “His energy level and track record of success will serve him well in his new position.”
