DRG Management Plan Helps Maintain Urban Forest Health For New York HOA

DRG leveraged its resources to help Van Buren Point HOA in New York create and implement an urban forest management plan from start to finish.

Project Narrative:

Davey Resource Group conducted a GIS-based tree inventory of 855 trees within the public and private areas of Van Buren Point HOA. Upon completion of the inventory, DRG wrote a 5-year Urban Forest Management Plan that included specific recommendations for tree maintenance and insect and disease control. After receiving the Management Plan, the HOA then contracted with the local Buffalo, NY Davey Tree office to conduct removals and emerald ash borer (EAB) injections on both public and private properties. 

Through DRG’s close interaction with the local Davey Tree office, we were able to help our client realize efficiencies between the inventory and implementation phases of this project
