Kent, Ohio – Davey Resource Group (DRG), a subsidiary of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is proud to announce that Kevin Thomas, principal consultant, has received the 2026 National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) Environmental Leadership Award.

The award honors individuals who have made contributions to the industry's environmental stewardship through their involvement in NSSGA environmental programs and hands-on leadership in their company's environmental affairs.
Thomas has more than 25 years of consulting experience specializing in natural resource studies; federal and state environmental permitting and compliance; acquisition support; natural resource mitigation; transportation; mining; and industrial, municipal, energy, private and public sector clients. He has served as a technical and policy speaker at the United States Chamber of Commerce's Waters of the United States (WOTUS) Roundtable, and has presented on WOTUS issues through NSSGA in Washington, D.C.
Some of Thomas' recognized work includes contributing to a large-scale stream restoration project with DRG that transformed an impaired waterway into a functioning ecosystem while enabling sustainable aggregates operations expansion and improving watershed health.
