What: The Cleveland Guardians & The Davey Tree Expert Company will plant 185 trees as part of Davey Tree’s Swing for the Trees Program. One tree will be planted for each home run hit by the Guardians during the 2024 season. Planting started with a ceremonial tree planting at Regent Park on Arbor Day – April 25 – at an event hosted by tree planting partners Western Reserve Land Conservancy.
On Friday, 40 trees will be planted at Regent Park. The rest of the trees will be planted at the following locations later this year:
- Fannie M. Lewis Community Park at 6901 Lexington Ave in Cleveland.
- Jose Ramirez Field at Clark Field in Cleveland.
- The remainder will be planted by our partner, Western Reserve Land Conservancy, at various sites throughout the fall.
