Cedar Rust
There are multiple rust fungi that affect cedars (junipers): cedar-quince rust, cedar-hawthorn rust and cedar-apple rust. All of these rusts require two different hosts and alternate between them during the year. Cedar-quince rust appears as elongated branch swellings that produce orange spores.

Emerald ash borer (EAB) is an Asian beetle that threatens the existence of ash trees throughout North America. These insect pests have killed millions of ash trees in urban areas, woodlots, and nurseries, spreading via infested nursery stock and firewood.
Lace Bugs
Lace bugs are sap-sucking pests that feed on deciduous and evergreen plants during the spring and summer, weakening their host plants. These pests thrive in full sun under dry conditions. Depending on the species, they are about 1/8-inch long and whitish with tan markings.
