Cherry Bark Tortrix
The cherry bark tortrix (CBT) moths are major pests in the Pacific Northwest, where they affect rosaceous trees and shrubs. Affected plants include apple, crabapple, hawthorn, Mountain ash, pear and Photinia species. Prunus species are the preferred hosts.
Zimmerman Pine Moth
Zimmerman pine moths are 5/8” long with gray wings marked with mottled red and gray. Once a year, their larvae hatch and tunnel into trees, interfering with the tree’s sap flow and weakening them. Eventually, wind may break the weakened tops.
