Bowie Commons in Fairview, TN is an almost 80,000 square foot retail space on 10.6 acres of land, anchored by a Publix grocery store and housing a diverse list of tenants, including AT&T, Anytime Fitness, and local businesses. 

Located in an up-and-coming suburb of Nashville, Bowie Commons is becoming a bustling hub with high foot traffic that is increasing over time. 

Landscaping at outdoor retail spaces requires a balance between aesthetics and function. Curb appeal boosts shopper interest while freshly mowed turf, trimmed shrubs, and cleared parking lots and walkways ensure shoppers can navigate the area safely and with ease.

Bowie Commons’ property management, Broder Sachse Real Estate, partnered with Davey to keep the shopping center’s grounds in top shape.

A Shopping Center On The Rise

Davey originally began working at Bowie Commons in January of 2024, clearing snow and ice from the parking lot and walkways to ensure safety and accessibility for shoppers and employees. In Spring 2024, the contract expanded to include full-service ground maintenance.

A 4-person crew is on-site weekly to mow turf, prune shrubs, mulch, perform irrigation services, and tend to the flower beds and planters. With 24-hour retail spaces and high-profile stores, Davey is meticulous and consistent with their landscape care.

The Davey crew is also cautious around shoppers, strategically working to avoid areas packed with shoppers throughout the day.

Davey’s work at Bowie Commons reduces safety risks without sacrificing curb appeal. Trimmed shrubs, cleared pathways and parking lots, and mowed turf make the area easy to navigate while also making the space look well-maintained and tidy.
