Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company of Canada is proud to announce the promotions of three new district managers for Residential/Commercial (R/C) services offices in Burnaby and Toronto.
Scott Gardner has been promoted district manager of the Burnaby R/C office. Joshua Van Kemp has been promoted to district manager of the Toronto East R/C office. Matt Mayr has been promoted to district manager of the Toronto Northwest R/C office.
“All three of these leaders have continued to exceed client expectations no matter the conditions during the course of their Davey careers,” said John Arico, operations vice president, R/C services, Davey Canada. “These three offices have a bright future with the promotions of these three due to their continued hard work, technical experience and wealth of knowledge.”
Gardner (top photo) began his career at Davey in 2014. In 2017, he was promoted to salesperson of the Burnaby office, and then in 2019 to assistant district manager of the Vancouver office. Gardner is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Board Certified Master Arborist®, ISA Certified Arborist Municipal Specialist and ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified. He also graduated from the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences (D.I.T.S.) in 2019, which is Davey’s flagship training program in biological sciences, safety, tree and plant care and management techniques.
Van Kemp (middle photo) started at Davey in 2017 and was promoted to sales representative shortly thereafter. In 2019, he was promoted to assistant district manager. Van Kemp is a graduate of Sir Sandford Fleming’s Forestry Program. He is an ISA Certified Arborist® and graduated from D.I.T.S. in 2020.
Mayr (bottom photo) started his career at Davey in 2014. In 2015, he was promoted to climber and in 2020 to assistant district manager of the Toronto Northwest office. He is an ISA Certified Arborist®.
