In this New Jersey Herald article, Bob O'Rourke, district manager of Davey's New Jersey office, discusses what homeowners should do with their damaged trees after an ice storm passes through.

The storm passed and the ice finally melted off the trees in your yard.

In many municipalities, special brush collection days are being scheduled to cart away the piles of branches which fell.

But what can be done with the trees that remain standing, in some cases with visible damage from hanging branches, and possible hidden damage?

Robert O’Rourke a manager with Davey Tree Service, whose district includes Sussex County, said property owners should, at a minimum, take a close look at the trees on their property, looking for damage that could lead to bigger problems down the road.
