Kent, Ohio | February 3, 2026 - Davey Resource Group Inc., a subsidiary of The Davey Tree Expert Company, has acquired Cal Engineering Solutions, Inc. (Cal Engineering) and its sister companies. The acquisition expands Davey Resource Group’s engineering capabilities and strengthens support for electric transmission and distribution providers, reinforcing Davey’s long-standing commitment to the electric utility industry.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2013, Cal Engineering Solutions, Inc. is headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, and provides design and engineering services for electric utilities, transmission companies, and commercial clients. Services include the design, analysis, and modification of transmission and distribution lines, towers, lattice structures, poles, and foundations. As part of the acquisition, all of the nearly 200 employees will join Davey Resource Group, with the full team remaining in place to continue serving the growing demand of their clients.
The addition of Cal Engineering and its affiliated companies enhances Davey Resource Group’s capacity to support utilities with engineering solutions that increase system capacity, improve grid reliability, and long-term system performance, particularly within power transmission infrastructure.
