The Davey Tree Expert Company is proud to announce the promotion of Erika Schoenberger to the position of President of the Davey Tree Surgery Company.
“Erika continues to be a critical component of the company’s strategic initiatives, and this expanded role is another recognition of her unique skill set that elevates both the company and the people on her team,” said Davey Chairman, President and CEO Pat Covey.
With this promotion, Davey is aligning all its U.S. utility line clearance services underneath Schoenberger’s role as president of the Surgery Company. Kevin Peters, vice president and general manager of the Surgery Company, and Mike Mittiga, vice president and general manager, Eastern Utility services, will both report to Schoenberger in this new role.
Schoenberger will also continue to serve as General Counsel, an officer and secretary for The Davey Tree Expert Company and all its subsidiaries.
With over 20 years of legal experience, Schoenberger joined Davey in 2018 as vice president and general counsel. She previously worked at the Oneida Group, Inc., based in Columbus, Ohio, where she held general counsel, corporate secretary and senior vice president positions.
Schoenberger serves on policy committees for the Tree Care Industry Association and the National Association of Landscape Professionals and participates in the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Women’s General Counsel Subcommittee and Deloitte’s Board Ready Women program.
Schoenberger is a graduate of The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and holds a bachelor’s degree in English from the College of Wooster. She was recognized in 2014 with an Ohio State Moritz College of Law Outstanding Recent Alumni Award.
