The state of Georgia has its own Arbor Day, separate from the national Arbor Day in April.

It fell on Friday of last week and one local man is sharing why he has dedicated his life to preserving trees.

Chris Heim, of Atlanta, has spent 30 years taking care of trees in Georgia, especially historically significant trees.
