Lace Bugs
Lace bugs are sap-sucking pests that feed on deciduous and evergreen plants during the spring and summer, weakening their host plants. These pests thrive in full sun under dry conditions. Depending on the species, they are about 1/8-inch long and whitish with tan markings.
Pine Wilt Disease
Pine wilt disease is caused by tiny worms called pine wood nematodes and beetles called sawyers that work together resulting in a disease that rapidly discolors and kills pine trees.
Fairy Rings
Signs of fairy ring include a dark green circle or arc of rapidly growing turfgrasses, sometimes lined with a band of dead grass. Occasionally, mushrooms or puffballs form along the ring. Fairy rings develop most commonly in spring and fall when there is excess moisture.
