Christopher joined Davey in 2016 as a technical advisor. In this role, he uses his extensive experience to provide company-wide support through research, training programs, diagnostics, and prescriptions for soil, water, and root zone management in developed areas across the U.S. and Canada. Christopher also directly supports plant health care operations in Virginia, DC, Maryland, Delaware, and Eastern Pennsylvania. He is co-founder of the Davey Institute of Tree Conservation, which helps in-field professionals conserve trees during construction projects. Christopher developed comprehensive soil services using biochar and compost for green waste use and carbon sequestration.
Christopher has a unique combination of field experience in forestry, agriculture, tree work, plant health care, as well as academic credentials in general forestry, land reclamation, and soil sciences. He is an ISA certified arborist, Tree Risk Assessment Qualified, and Wildfire Risk Reduction Qualified.
