It’s been nearly a month since we celebrated the SEED Campus’s grand opening, and the campus is already buzzing with research, employee development, and education.

We’ve held training sessions for Davey employees in leadership, health and safety, and climbing; hosted dozens of tours; been featured on Kickin' it With Kenny on Cleveland's Fox 8 and in several other national and local news outlets; and more – all while Davey Institute employees make the campus their new home and conduct exciting research that will advance the green industry.

We broke ground on the site nearly three years ago in late 2022. Take a look back at how far we’ve come in these videos.

About The SEED Campus

The Davey Tree SEED (Science, Employee Education, and Development) Campus, the almost 200-acre property that formerly housed the Oak Knolls golf course and Franklin Elementary School on State Route 43 in Kent, Ohio, will be the new home to specialized training and research facilities for The Davey Tree Expert Company. The science and learning campus is being designed to ensure that Davey continues to attract and retain the most qualified, well-trained, and engaged employees possible.
