Summer weather on the South Coast has become known for a couple things, persistent drought, and wind storms.
Ahead of those events it’s critical to just take an eye to the yard, and the trees. Look up, says Matt Coady, an ISA-certified arborist with Davey Tree in Victoria.
There are a number of things to identify that can be addressed ahead of any weather, and protect both the tree and property.
Summer tends to bring wind, along with the warm and dry. Sudden weather events increase the risk of tree damage and failure. While broken limbs are often the most visible impact, hidden structural issues can make trees far more vulnerable than they appear.
