Why You Should Leave Your Leaves

According to Dan Sharp, Ontario-based master arborist with the Davey Tree Expert Company, it’s usually best to leave your leaves.

Outside of urban areas, trees prefer to grow in forests, where leaves and twigs decompose and allow nutrients to compost and enrich the soil. This natural ground cover is beneficial to trees and plants.
