Jay Foringer
Market Manager, Substation & Transmission Engineering
Jay joined Davey in 2025 as market manager for the Transmission and Substation Engineering team. In his role, Jay leads the strategic expansion of Davey Resource Group's asset management operations into the transmission and substation space across the investor-owned and municipal utility markets. With industry experience going back to 2001, Jay spent half of his career in engineering positions supporting substations and fossil fuel generation, as well as leadership roles.
Jay has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and holds a professional engineer license in 12 states. He also holds an electrical contracting license in three states and a general engineering license in three states. He is the founding director for Future STEAM Dreams, a non-profit that introduces middle school students to STEAM careers.
