Research Soil Scientist - Professional Landscape Architect (PLA), LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP)
Grant joined Davey in 2026 as a research soil scientist. In his role, he focuses on soil health and soil care in the built and managed environment. Grant’s research, educational materials, and communication resources support Davey across its operations in restoring soil function for plant health, stormwater management, and ecosystem function.
Grant has been in the green industry since 2006. His career has spanned roles as a professional landscape architect consultant, researcher, and educator. His past experience has given him the skills to translate research findings into actionable recommendations for restoring and managing soil health in constructed environments.
He has bachelors degrees in Horticulture and Landscape Architecture from Iowa State University. He also has a masters and a PhD in Horticultural Biology from Cornell University.
