Geoff Watson

Geoffrey joined Davey in 2008 as a consulting utility forester. Since then, he has been promoted to manager of technical operations and support, where he is responsible for a range of teams and systems, including financial accounting, technical process development and documentation, advanced data analytics and performance reporting, recruiting, onboarding and training, disaster response, the field operations safety management system, and fleet management.

Geoffrey has over 20 years of experience in utility and vegetation management. His project management expertise includes transmission and distribution right-of-way management, risk assessment, Emerald Ash Borer programs, herbicide and right-of-way reclamations, workload studies, customer communications, reliability-based hardening programs, and GPS/GIS-based paperless flow program development.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science with an emphasis in urban forestry from Western Illinois University. He is an ISA-certified arborist and utility specialist. In addition, Geoffrey volunteers with Adopt-a-Highway.
