Here at Davey, we’re gearing up to host the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA)’s North American Tree Climbing Championship (NATCC). The SEED Campus will serve as the host site on May 15-17, marking this a rare time the campus is open to the public. Not only are we excited to partner with ISA, we're also proud of the many ways Davey will shine throughout the three-day competition.
Alongside the competition action, Davey will have four tents available to attendees:
Concierge
Need help with directions? Or want to learn more about the event? Check in with the Davey concierge tent, where they’ll be ready to guide you down the right path. The concierge will offer speedy directions and information about Davey, ISA and the weekend’s events.
Arbor Fair
Davey will be set up at the Arbor Fair – the event’s central hub for tree care companies, industry sponsors and gear suppliers. Open throughout the weekend, the fair offers competitors, volunteers and visitors the opportunity to connect with industry leaders and explore the latest tools and services.
Kids’ Activities
Children will have a blast during NATCC while participating in the weekend’s kids’ activities. Davey will host fun nature-themed games and crafts for children of all ages to enjoy.
Some of the activities include studying tree rings, decorating wood slices, learning knot skills, scavenger hunts, coloring, nature walks and more.
These activities are designed to keep young attendees engaged while introducing them to the importance of trees, nature and environmental stewardship.
Industrial Athletes
Davey’s Industrial Athlete Program will be on site throughout NATCC to support the physical demands of competitive tree climbing. The team will provide competition support for athletes, including pre‑event preparation, nutritional guidance and recovery services to help climbers perform at their best.
Functional Movement Screenings (FMS) will be offered to employees and volunteers, providing insight into movement patterns and injury prevention strategies. Davey employees will receive individualized corrective exercise guidance and real-time coaching, while NATCC volunteers will receive screening feedback and general recommendations. A dedicated area will be staffed throughout the weekend to answer questions about the Industrial Athlete Program and provide patient care for Davey employees attending the event.
Our involvement stretches beyond the booths, with competitors, sponsorships and campus access as well:

The Masters’ Challenge
Davey is proud to be exclusively sponsoring this year’s Masters’ Challenge – the final event featuring the top male and female climbers from the weekend. Competitors with the highest scores in this round are named the male and female NATCC Champions.
The Climbers’ Party
To honor the competitors’ athleticism and hard work, and to show our appreciation for our partnership with the ISA, Davey is excited to be the exclusive sponsor and host of the annual Climbers’ Party at the SEED Campus’ event barn. This event is closed to the public.
Exploring the SEED Campus
In addition to watching the competition, event attendees will have the opportunity to explore areas of the property at the new, one-of-a-kind SEED Campus. Visitors are welcome to explore the campus’ arboretum, which features over 500 different tree and plant species, totaling over 30,000 plants. It also has themed gardens, all unique with different plants and highlights.
The nine‑acre bog is also a must-see, featuring a wide range of plant and wildlife species that promote ecological diversity. Plus, visitors can enjoy a great view of the SEED Campus’ training facility from the boardwalk. The building will be closed to the public.
Parking
Public parking is available across the street at Davey’s corporate headquarters located at 1500 N. Mantua St., Kent. Shuttle buses will run continuously to bring visitors back and forth between the SEED Campus and the public parking spaces.
