Naval Air Station Pensacola
Davey crews provide comprehensive grounds maintenance on 350 acres of residential areas that house the Blue Angels and military personnel at Naval Air Station Pensacola in Florida.
For over 20 years, Davey has shown our gratitude for our country’s armed services by carefully maintaining the landscapes at over 18,000 military family housing units on bases across the nation.
Our crews perform turf and plant maintenance, irrigation management, seasonal planting, fertilization, weed control, and snow and ice management services on these military bases. On top of their routine grounds maintenance duties, employee-owners working on bases around the country join with military personnel to demonstrate their patriotism each day.
There are several different ways we show our respect while working, and each military base has a unique set of standards and traditions. Davey crews join in the 5 p.m. Reveille call to salute the flag, adhere to the stringent security standards in place to work on the property, and support military families by providing supplemental grounds maintenance services at the homes of deployed soldiers while they are overseas.
Looking To The Skies At NAS Pensacola
Davey Tree, through a partnership with Balfour Beatty, is proud to serve as the grounds maintenance team responsible for the green spaces surrounding the homes of the Blue Angels and military personnel at Naval Air Station (NAS) Pensacola in Florida.
Since 2013, we have provided comprehensive ground maintenance services, including mowing, string trimming, planting, and tree maintenance, on 350 acres of residential areas at NAS Pensacola consisting of 549 homes and the community center.
The mission of the Blue Angels is to showcase the pride and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps. through flight demonstrations and community outreach, according to their website. Part of their current mission is to perform fly-overs for cities throughout the country to show the nation’s appreciation for front-line medical personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic. Regardless of the flight mission, watching the Blue Angels fly overhead several times per week is a unique privilege for Davey crews working at NAS Pensacola.
Our military takes great care to protect our country, and we are proud to make sure those who serve are greeted by healthy, green landscapes from their front porch.
