Malmstrom Air Force Base
Davey crews are on-site weekly at Malmstrom Air Force Base, home to the 341st Missile Wing, to tend to the base’s green spaces.
Malmstrom Air Force Base (AFB) first made its home in picturesque Great Falls, Montana in 1942. Today, the base is home to the 341st Missile Wing, one of three bases that maintain and operate the Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile.
With a huge responsibility on the shoulders of the men and women who serve at Malmstrom, Davey is proud to lend a hand through grounds maintenance.
Since 2011, Davey has maintained the green spaces of the housing units on the base, which number at 1,116. With property that spans 163 acres, Davey crews are on-site weekly to care for turf, including mowing, trimming and edging, as well as mulch and perform irrigation system maintenance as needed. Twice a year, trees and shrubs on the units’ properties are pruned, and Davey helps coordinate any tree or shrub removal when necessary.
Davey crews are also responsible for plowing and shoveling snow during brutal Montana winters, clearing roadways and sidewalks, and de-icing intersections. For vacant homes or homes with deployed spouses, crews take on the extra responsibility of clearing the driveways of snow.
Davey continually strives to maintain the safety, beauty, and health of Malmstrom’s green spaces with this longtime partnership.
