Laurel Lake Retirement Community
Laurel Lake’s residents lead an active lifestyle that takes advantage of the vast outdoor spaces on the property. Proper maintenance and care are vital to keeping these spaces safe and beautiful.
Nestled in picturesque Hudson, Ohio, Laurel Lake is a retirement community whose mission is to provide its residents with an active and independent lifestyle. Laurel Lake’s outdoor amenities include its lavish 150-acre campus with 3 stocked fishing lakes, 5-miles of nature trails, a par 3 golf course, and private and community gardens.
Maintaining these outdoor spaces is important to the curb appeal of Laurel Lake and requires a team of professionals who can keep up with northeast Ohio’s changing seasons. Since 2016, Davey’s commercial landscaping team has partnered with Laurel Lake to keep its property safe for its residents while maintaining its beauty.
During the growing season, a crew of 2 foremen and 4-5 field professionals perform spring cleanup services, manicure the turf weekly by mowing and string trimming, and prune shrubs. At the end of the season, crews perform fall cleanup, leaf removal, and client-approved landscape enhancements. When Laurel Lake experiences Mother Nature’s harsh winter conditions, Davey crews use trucks, plows, and skid steers for snow removal and apply salt for icy walkways to keep residents safe and the property accessible.
Davey crews go above and beyond at Laurel Lake, communicating with staff on a weekly basis to make sure their services won’t disrupt any community events, such as garden club meetings and fitness programs, scheduled for the active residents.
