KENT, OHIO - Rostyslaw Caryk has joined Davey Resource Group, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, as a senior scientist/senior project manager in its Natural Resource Consulting group (NRC). He will specialize in providing ecological consulting services including wetland delineations and mapping studies; wetlands and stream permitting projects; mitigation studies; endangered species surveys; and ecological restoration projects in Northeastern Ohio, western New York and western Pennsylvania.
Caryk has more than 30 years of experience in the environmental field, including wetland identification and evaluation, wetland mitigation, stream restoration, development of erosion and sedimentation control plans, and environmental construction oversight. His projects have included retail developments, DOT projects, landfills, linear project permitting and environmental management (pipelines, fiber optic cable). Caryk was a principal planner and a participant in a series of wetland seminars throughout Ohio and New York discussing the Federal and state wetland regulations and their effects on project planning and implementation. He is a frequent presenter to various state Bar Associations and chairs seminars on the Clean Water Act as related to Section 404 and Section 401 issues.
Caryk holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology and a Master of Science degree in natural sciences and mathematics from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
