KENT, OHIO - Jim Zwack has been named Director of Technical Services for The Davey Institute, the technical support, research and development, education and training, and environmental compliance division of The Davey Tree Expert Company.
He will oversee the technical staff and be a key contributor toward strategic planning for the Institute.
Zwack has more than 17 years of education and experience in tree care. He earned a master of science in plant physiology from Iowa State University and a bachelor's degree in urban forestry from the University of Minnesota. He has held numerous leadership positions in industry associations, is a former director for the Society of Commercial Arboriculture, and currently serves as a Board member of the TREE Fund.
The Davey Tree Expert Company, with U.S. and Canadian operations in 45 states and five provinces, provides a variety of tree services, grounds maintenance, and consulting services for the residential, utility, commercial, and government markets. Founded in 1880, Davey is employee owned and has more than 7,000 employees.
