Kent, Ohio — The Davey Tree Expert Company has announced the promotion of Sandra Reid (right) to vice president, corporate communications and strategic plan administration.
Karl Warnke, Davey’s chairman, president and CEO, views the appointment as a strategic opportunity to further engage Davey employees and strengthen the Davey brand. “Sandee’s involvement in the new Davey Strategic Plan ‘Vision 20/20’ and her communications expertise provides the necessary skills and leadership to drive these key areas,” said Warnke. “I look forward to the enthusiasm and experience she will bring to this new leadership role.”
Since joining Davey in 1986, Reid has worked in numerous corporate communications and marketing capacities. She has served as editor of the company magazine, The Bulletin, company spokesperson, manager of public relations and manager of corporate communications. In 2009, she was named manager, corporate communications and marketing, and oversaw the integration of Davey’s corporate communications and marketing functions.
Reid is a recipient of the Best of Davey Leadership Award and is a former member of the company’s President’s Council. She holds a Master of Arts degree in organizational management from The University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, with a dual major in marketing and public relations, from Ohio Northern University. She is affiliated with numerous professional and civic organizations that are local, national and international in scope.
