Davey Names New Technical Advisor

Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company has announced the appointment of Chris Fields-Johnson to Technical Advisor within The Davey Institute. 

In this role at the Davey Institute, the company’s premier research, development and innovation division, Fields-Johnson will be responsible for operational support and research.

“Chris’s balance of technical knowledge and operational experience position him to deliver industry-leading technical support and positively impact our research,” said Jim Zwack, Director of Technical Services within the Davey Institute. “He understands the importance of The Davey Institute research when it comes to protecting and preserving our clients’ treasured trees.”

Fields-Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in Forest Resource Management, a master’s degree in Crop and Soil Environmental Sciences and he recently completed the requirements for a Ph.D. in Crop and Soil Environmental Sciences from Virginia Tech.
