Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company announced the promotion of Ted Sonnier to district manager of the South Houston, Texas, residential/commercial office.
A Davey employee for over 19 years, Sonnier has been a plant health care technician, sales and service coordinator and sales arborist. For the past eight years, Sonnier served as an assistant district manager. His recent promotion follows the pending retirement of veteran district manager Jack Swayze, who worked closely with Sonnier.

Sonnier is an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist®. In 2004, he graduated from the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, Davey’s flagship training program.There, Sonnier completed extensive training courses taught by leading experts, covering tree and plant care as well as disease and pest diagnosis.
