Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company announces the appointment of Scott Heim to district manager of the Akron, Ohio, residential/commercial office.
Heim has been with Davey Tree since 1982. He soon became a foreman and then a sales arborist. For the past 15 years, Heim served as the district manager of Davey’s Northeast Cleveland residential/commercial office.
“As a manager, Scott is relentlessly devoted to both his clients and employees. That dedication allowed Scott to grow the Northeast Cleveland office while contributing to Davey’s overall strategic growth,” said Jeff Crites, market manager of Davey Tree’s residential/commercial services.
“As the new district manager of Davey’s Akron office, I’m sure Scott will continue to have similar results,” added Crites.
A Davey employee for over 30 years, Heim graduated from the Davey Institute of Horticultural Sciences and the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, Davey’s flagship training program.These training opportunities allowed Heim to study a scientifically-backed approach to tree and plant care, including disease and pest diagnosis.
Additionally, Heim received the Outstanding Manager Award at the Davey National Managers’ Meeting in 2013. Heim is also an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist®, who just finished his term as a member of Davey’s President’s Council. There, Heim served on committees to brainstorm and research new ideas related to the company’s operations.
