For the second straight year, unusual weather gave us an extremely challenging start to the season.
This year, landscape management took off quickly when Mother Nature welcomed an early spring, and green industry professionals had to react to the climate changes accordingly. Landscape Management's Dan Jacobs interviewed Jim Zwack, director of technical services for the Davey Institute, about his observations of this year's early spring.
"If the pattern of running things ahead of schedule continues, we can expect to see pests showing up, disease show up ahead of schedule," Zwack says.
