The main pond in Lakeside Park will get a $210,000 face-lift officials say will improve both its looks and its usefulness.
The Board of Park Commissioners on Thursday approved the contract calling for Heartland Restoration Services of Fort Wayne to stabilize the banks by planting vegetation that will reduce erosion and improve water quality. Rocky outcroppings will also be created to help visitors get closer to the pond.
