Ryan Steele joined Davey in 2014 as a plant health care technician. Since then, Steele has been promoted to a project manager, where he oversees a team of foresters working with Pacific Gas and Electric on gas transmission vegetation management projects, including right-of-way maintenance, construction, restoration, and an electrical towers maintenance project. Steele’s team has helped map out vegetation along the right-of-way corridors and has also helped facilitate the removals of incompatible vegetation. As part of this maintenance project, Steele has helped the client develop a quality audit for their program to ensure that the field staff is being trained properly and collecting accurate data.
Steele holds a bachelor’s degree in horticulture. He is an ISA Certified Arborist Utility Specialist® and holds a Qualified Applicators License in the state of California.
