The health and well-being of our employees, clients and the communities we serve is of paramount importance. As the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak continue to evolve, we are occasionally asked why our crews are working in states and municipalities that are restricting activity and limiting service performed by businesses as part of COVID-19 mitigation.
Davey provides essential services for maintaining electric infrastructure, providing storm clean-up and disaster response services, and ensuring public safety through tree risk assessment and maintenance, and invasive species and injurious pest mitigation around homes and businesses.
These services are often specifically referenced as part of the official communication provided by the relevant state or local authority. Please consult your state or municipal website for additional detail, as well as the following statement regarding the role essential tree services play with respect to public and community safety.
When providing essential services, we are requiring our teams to use hand sanitizer before exiting their vehicles prior to entering a client’s property and deep-cleaning tools and equipment. Additionally, when clients do need to interact with one of our local team members directly, we will comply with recommended social distancing practices and will call in advance of any property visit.
