Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company is proud to announce the promotion of Mike Volz to district manager of Davey’s Indianapolis Residential/Commercial (R/C) office.
Volz joined Davey in 2004 as a trimmer trainee for the Seattle R/C office. He quickly progressed to foreman and was promoted to sales arborist in 2008. In 2011, he transferred to Davey’s East Bay office, and then again in 2012 to the Indianapolis office to continue working as a sales arborist.
“Mike brings a wealth of experience and familiarity to his new role as the leader of the Indianapolis office,” said Gordon Matthews, market manager, Great Lakes Central. “He will ensure our clients continue to have highly-trained and knowledgeable local experts keeping their trees healthy and safe.”
Volz holds a bachelor’s degree in forestry from Purdue University. He is a graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, the company’s flagship training program, an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist® and president of the Carmel, Indiana Urban Forestry Committee.
