Davey Tree Promotes Newborn to District Manager

Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Company has announced the promotion of Jeff Newborn to district manager for the Kansas City residential/commercial office.

Newborn has more than 30 years of experience in the green industry and started with Davey in St. Louis as a plant health care technician. He was later promoted to sales arborist.

“Jeff brings a broad array of qualities to our Kansas City operation, including a successful five-year tour with the U.S. Navy, a bachelor’s degree in Forestry from Humboldt State University and almost 20 years in arboriculture with Davey,” said Trey Webster, Davey operations manager of residential/commercial services. “Jeff also possesses a passion for educating people about their trees.”

Newborn is an International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist. He served as a board member from 2002 to 2006 for Canopy, a non-profit that works to support the tree canopy of Palo Alto, California, and the San Francisco mid-peninsula.
