Kent, Ohio – Davey Resource Group (DRG) is proud to announce the promotion of Carolyn Matthews to area manager of DRG’s New York region. Davey Resource Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Davey Tree Expert Company.
Matthews began her career with DRG in 2011. Since then, she’s held several positions including ground surveyor, quality control technician, assistant project manager and project manager.
“Carolyn has excelled in each position she’s held since joining the company,” said Ken Joehlin, vice president and general manager, environmental consulting and business development for Davey Resource Group. “I am confident that she will do the same in this new leadership role and continue to deliver top-quality service to our clients.”
Matthews holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental and conservation biology and a master’s degree in forest ecology from Clark University. She is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist®, Tree Risk Assessment Qualified through the ISA and a 2016 graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, the company’s flagship training program.
