Kent, Ohio – The Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited, has announced the promotion of Mike Nash to vice president and general manager of Canadian residential operations.
Nash, who has worked for Davey for 21 years, started as a field worker in Ottawa and advanced through the ranks to become assistant district manager of the Toronto east office before being promoted to district manager in Calgary. In 2011 he was promoted to area manager for the eastern residential/commercial operations, and in 2012 he was promoted to vice president of operations.
Nash holds a degree in business administration, is an International Society of Arboriculture certified arborist, served on the Davey President’s Council from 2009 to 2011 and also served on the ISA Ontario board. Members of the Davey President’s Council serve a three-year term in which they brainstorm and research new ideas related to the company’s operations and present them to the council for review. Nash also is a graduate of the Davey Institute of Tree Sciences, Davey’s flagship training program in biological sciences, safety, management techniques and tree and plant care.
