Pat Covey, president and CEO of The Davey Tree Expert Co., presents a $10,000 check to Tom Franek, arboriculture instructor at Theodore Roosevelt High School, for climbing equipment.
The program, part of the Six District Compact with students from Woodridge, Stow, Tallmadge, Hudson, Cuyahoga Falls and Kent, is a one-of-a-kind program in Ohio where students learn tree climbing for pruning purposes.
