Wetland Restoration

Davey Resource Group scientists will do whatever it takes to restore the wetland to your specifications. That can include everything from re-designing a stream to mimic natural formation, to bringing in native stone to stabilize the stream bank or even planting trees and shrubs. We will work with you to develop a conceptual restoration plan to meet your needs.

As part of the project, we will collect baseline biological data and physical stream data. Davey Resource Group scientists can then evaluate the aquatic habitat, map vegetation communities within the riparian corridor, and analyze benthic macroinvertebrate and fish communities. We can then develop strategies to restore the most degraded reaches of the wetlands.

To help the process, Davey Resource Group uses Best Management Practices to minimize and prevent unnecessary damage, soil erosion, sedimentation, and non-point source pollutants throughout the construction process. The end result is a more stable and attractive stream system.
