Brian Said, B.A., joined Davey in 2001. Said is an IT software support technician, where he is responsible for quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) of our software products and for providing technical training and software support to our clients.
Said previously served as the national invasive species response manager for the Davey Resource Group’s Invasive Species Management team as well as the national quality assurance manager on all ALB Eradication Program projects from 2011 to 2015. In this capacity he has created, implemented, and managed a comprehensive Quality Assurance program for both federal and state clients working on the APHIS ALB eradication program.
Said has designed survey, treatment, and tree removal projects currently operating within all the ALB quarantine zones in New York, Massachusetts and Ohio, assisting with the successful eradication of ALB from Manhattan and Staten Island, New York. In addition to his role as QA Manager on ALB projects, said has responded to municipalities across the country to assist with Emerald Ash Borer control programs.
Said holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy with a minor in environmental ethics from The University of Akron.
