Holly Knox, GISP, M.S., joined Davey in 2008 as a geospatial specialist. Since then, Knox has been promoted to a geospatial analyst, where she plays a key role in the setup, testing, and programming of custom input forms for our mobile mapping projects utilizing Davey’s ArcPad field collection and ArcGIS for Collector programs. She creates field maps and final cartographic products for many ecological, urban forestry, and utility mapping projects and is involved in all quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) processes for urban tree canopy (UTC) analysis projects. Knox also has experience using AutoCAD®, generating statistical reports and final cartographic map outputs for land cover assessments and i-Tree analyses, and utilizing and supporting mobile mapping hardware and global positioning systems (GPS).
Knox holds a master’s degree in geographic information systems from American Sentinel University. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in geography with an emphasis on natural resource management and conservation from Kent State University. She is a member of the Ohio Urban Regional System Association (URISA), GIS Users of Northern Ohio (GUONO), Ravenna Ohio Shade Tree Commission and the Gamma Theta Upsilon, a national geography honors organization.
