Rochelle native, Davey intern wins scholarship

Jarid Perrin, a junior from Rochelle majoring in forestry at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, is the recipient of a scholarship from The Davey Tree Expert Company.

Perrin’s Davey Arbor Grant Scholarship is one of 30 granted across the nation. He recently worked as an intern for Davey's West Chicago office.

"Jarid did a fine job, worked hard and learned a lot," said manager Steve Matravers. "I think he will do well in his future in the green industry, wherever he chooses to use his skills."
