Yichen Zhu, M.A., joined Davey in 2001 as a geospatial and IT technician. She has since been promoted to IT database programmer. Zhu has with extensive experience programming in HTML, Microsoft Access, VBA, PostgreSQL and is proficient in the support and troubleshooting of Davey Resource Group’s proprietary software products for our internal operations and external clients. Zhu specializes in database conversions and geospatial processing of our field data acquisitions and creates tools to automate processes for streamlining data conversions. Zhu is also the lead on the customized builds of our TreeKeeper and ROWKeeper products for inventory operations and the conversion of municipal inventory data into iTree Streets final data project files across the U.S. She also has experience building various mobile mapping applications and works directly with Davey Resource Group GIS specialists utilizing GIS software to generate, manipulate and convert data.
Zhu holds a bachelor’s degree in geography from Northwest University of China and a master’s degree in geographic information science from Kent State University.
