Benard Appiah Kubi, M.S., joined Davey in 2011 as a geospatial analyst. In this role, Appiah Kubi is responsible for remote sensing and custom programming utilizing Python to more efficiently automate daily GIS processes image analysis and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) for the Asian Longhorned Beetle eradication project. He has completed several urban tree canopy (UTC) analysis projects, utilizing i-Tree analyses tools and developing scripts to more efficiently automate daily geospatial processes and final deliverables. Appiah Kubi is also responsible for generating, updating, and maintaining custom programming tools for automation of internal operations.
Appiah Kubi holds a master’s degree in geography with an emphasis on geographic information systems applications from the University of Akron and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Ghana.
