Andrews Atuobi Boateng, M.A., joined Davey in 2009 as a senior geospatial analyst. In this role, Boateng manages the internal quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) analysis of the spatial data and the creation of the final cartographic map production for the USDA Asian Longhorned Beetle eradication projects. He also works with geospatial analysis, creating and processing final deliverable products, land cover change modeling, and the creation and design of cartographic products through use of advanced GIS and remote sensing software.
Boateng plays a key role in the development of Davey Resource Group’s innovative GIS tools and solutions, focusing on geospatial predictive modeling, climate action planning, sustainable development and urban planning. He is an integral member of the Ad hoc Committee – Kent Sustainability Commission, responsible for the creation of the first Climate Action Plan of the City of Kent, Ohio.
Boateng holds a master’s degree in geography and urban planning from the University of Akron and a bachelor’s degree in geography and resource development from The University of Ghana. He is a member of the American Planners Association (APA) - Ohio, the Ohio Urban Regional System Association (URISA), GIS Users of Northern Ohio (GUONO) and Greenhouse Gas Management Institute.
