David is a senior scientist/project manager for Davey Resource Group’s Natural Resource Consulting team. David has more than 30 years of professional experience in natural resource education and project management in natural areas. Mr. Goerig routinely works with clients to develop land management goals, establish project scopes and fees, and then mobilize the proper field personnel and equipment to effectively and safely perform stream, wetland, floodplain, and upland habitat restoration projects.
He coordinates with an in-house team of project managers, biologists, and restoration ecologists when conducting invasive species eradication work, reforestation plantings, woody and herbaceous streambank installations, aquatic wetland plantings, and specialized native seed installation work. Dave holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in landscape contracting, a Bachelors of Science degree in horticulture from The Ohio State University, and a Masters of Education degree from Kent State University
