Project Developer for Urban and Community Forestry at the Davey Resource Group. Prior to joining Davey in 2011, he served more than 12 years as a municipal arborist and urban forester in Texas. Michael now assists communities and tree managers to better understand and quantify the value of the tree resources they are maintaining. He is passionate about making a difference and improving the management of our community forests, and he is proud to have helped develop support for numerous tree inventory projects, tree canopy assessments, management plans, master plans, and urban forest resource analysis studies throughout the southwestern United States.
Michael is a Certified Arborist and Municipal Specialist through the International Society of Arboriculture and a graduate of the Municipal Forestry Institute. He has served the industry as a volunteer with the Texas Statewide Urban and Community Forestry Advisory Committee, the International Society of Arboriculture Texas Chapter, the Trinity Blacklands Urban Forestry Council, the Texas Urban Forestry Council, and the Utility Arborist Association. Michael graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry.
